Vano Ksnelashvili

Vano Ksnelashvili is a Georgian architect and educator whose work navigates the intersections of architecture, urban research, and education. He is the founder of About Architecture, a globally engaged studio operating between Tbilisi and Copenhagen, recognised for its award-winning projects. Prior to founding his practice, Ksnelashvili was a project architect at Architects of Invention (2010–2017). In addition to his architectural expertise, he has been actively involved in interdisciplinary collaborations, including his role as an invited partner at the Tbilisi Architecture Biennial (2018) and his appointment as an independent expert for the Mies van der Rohe Award in the same year. From 2020 to 2023, he served as a tutor in the Architecture Programme at the Free University of Tbilisi (VA[A]DS), co-leading the re-city design studio, which examined urban transformation and contextual specificities in Tbilisi. In 2024, he was selected as a LINA fellow, further advancing his research in architecture and urbanism.

Tuomas Toivonen

Tuomas Toivonen is an architect, musician and educator who operates the renowned Kulttuurisauna public bath and cultural space in Helsinki he co-founded, designed and built with Nene Tsuboi. He is the founder of the architecture studio Now Office and a director of the alternative education platform Now Academy. Tuomas also teaches Architecture at EKA – Estonian Academy of Arts. One part of his practice is creating experimental music, sonic spatial installations and musical instruments, he is also the lyricist and frontman of the well known musical band Giant Robot, founded in Helsinki in 1996. In 2023 Tuomas contributed to the Childrens’ Forest Pavilion presented by Lithuania in Venice Architecture Biennial where his field recordings made in old forests became an integral, immersive part of the pavilion exhibition and spaces.

Indrė Umbrasaitė

Architect and researcher, working on projects embracing architecture and landscape in communication with art, design, and curatorship. Trained as an artist and architect in Vilnius and Vienna, Indrė’s professional experience includes both practice and academia. Former assistant professor at the Studio Kazuyo Sejima Vienna (Angewandte), lecturer at the Department of Architectural Theory and Philosophy of Techniques (TU Vienna), she currently teaches at the Institute of Architecture and Landscape (TU Graz). Co-founder of Studio SOL (ATTP, TU Vienna), member of Climate Visions Lab (MIT, MA), and editor of several publications. Her work is exhibited internationally, notably the Swamp School at Venice Biennale 2018 and Critical Zones (2020-2021) at ZKM Karlsruhe.

Paula Veidenbauma

Paula Veidenbauma is an artist and spatial practitioner currently based in Vienna, Austria. With a background in Urban Studies and Film, she explores intersections of critical theory, architecture, visual arts, and theatre. Her practice engages with real estate politics and aesthetics, project(ed) dramaturgies, limits of flexibility, and expanded notions of renovation. She often works with spatial enigmas, fiction frictions, and investigative approaches across interconnected geographical contexts.


The fifth season of the Experiments’ Platform will be implemented in collaboration with the Helsinki-based cultural sauna space Kulttuurisauna founded and curated by architect Tuomas Toivonen and designer Nene Tsuboi, as well as with the Copenhagen Architecture Forum CAFx, that is organising the very first Copenhagen Architecture Biennial.
