Kreivuolis. Why does architecture speak snakish?
The subject of continuous artistic research is the arbours often found in the Lithuanian recreational spaces. The main architectural element of these arbours is curvy wooden logs – kreivuolis. This prevailing curvy aesthetics has not been discussed or researched as a cultural, architectural phenomenon and as such opens the way for speculative and associative thinking about the possible (pseudo) implications of organics, authenticity, mythology and ethnography.
